Photographs can stir up all sorts of memories.

From the time you went to the park with your friends, to the standing ovation on the last night of your final year show. It’s amazing how one split second moment in time, captured and saved on film, can hold so much. Not just the place, or the time, but the people you were with, the clothes you wore, the things you said, or didn’t say. The way you looked, your hair, your smile. All of the emotions you felt for that single moment, preserved in time. A picture tells a thousand words, they say. But it holds so much more than that. I love photography. Not just the process, but capturing memories so nobody forgets. I don’t want to look back on my life and wish that I’d taken more photos, or forget a single moment that made me smile, laugh, cry with happiness, the people, the places. And more than anything, I don’t want the people I love to either. So here it is. The world through my eyes. I hope you love them as much as I do. Never forget the good times. And never stop capturing them.

For those of you who’ve been following our cover party on the Wakey!Wakey! Facebook fan page, here’s a special treat. Today I set up my iPhone and made a video of me recording my version of Robyn’s song, ‘Call Your Girlfriend’. The first 100 downloads of the audio version will be free today on our Facebook Fan Page, but if you miss those don’t worry. At the end of the week, in celebration of Record Store Day we’ll be compiling all of these covers, and putting them up for free download in the Family Record’s Store. You can get all of our previous covers (Yeah I did Bieber… and it rocked), as well as all of the tracks I’ll be posting the rest of week (they’ll drive you crazy… ooh, ooh, ooh (insanely obvious hint)). Also since it’s record store we’ll have all of our W!W! vinyl marked down 10% for the weekend.

Hello from shockingly unpredictable weather land. AKA London. Let’s just say I should have packed a sweater… And a scarf… And gloves… And a winter coat. I’m pretty excited for Amsterdam and my return to Germany in July. I have to say, however that despite the weather, I’ll be really sad to leave…

or, you know, you could just stick around in London a bit longer and play more shows… ;)
